Choosing a Ragdoll is an important decision, and we believe finding your kitten should be an experience you feel good about from beginning to end.
From your first application through the day your kitten joins your family, we're here to answer your questions, get to know you, and help guide you through each step of the process.
01 — Getting to Know You
Tell Us About Yourself
The first step toward welcoming an Indovi Pearl Ragdoll into your family is completing our kitten application.
The application gives us an opportunity to learn a little about you, your household, your experience with pets, and what you're hoping for in a Ragdoll companion. It also gives you an opportunity to tell us what matters most to you when choosing your kitten.
We carefully review each application individually because finding the right home for each of our kittens is incredibly important to us.
NOTE: Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt.
If you are still researching breeders, planning for the future, or simply interested in learning more, we welcome you to reach out. We are happy to answer your questions and help you determine whether an Indovi Pearl Ragdoll may be the right fit for your family.
02 — Let's get Acquainted
Once we’ve had an opportunity to review your application, we’ll be in touch to learn a little more about you and answer any questions you may have.
We believe choosing a kitten should be a two-way conversation. This is your opportunity to learn more about our Ragdolls, how they are raised, our adoption process, and what you can expect when bringing your kitten home.
It’s also an opportunity for us to get to know your family, your lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a companion. Getting to know you helps us better understand what you’re looking for and whether one of our kittens may be a good fit for your family.
There’s no pressure and no expectation that you need to make a decision right away. Our goal is simply to make sure you have the information you need and feel comfortable moving forward.
03 — Finding Your Match
Finding the Right Personality for Your Family
Once kittens are old enough for their personalities to become more established, we’ll share updates, photos, and videos to help you get to know them.
When it’s time to choose, families select their kitten based on the available kittens and the qualities that are most important to them. We’ll share what we’ve observed about each kitten’s personality, temperament, and development so you can make an informed decision.
We’re happy to answer questions, offer our observations, and help you think through which kitten may be the best fit for your family. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
We believe choosing your Ragdoll should be an exciting and personal experience — one where you have the information and guidance you need to feel confident in your decision.
04 — Reserving Your Kitten
Making It Official
Once you’ve chosen your kitten, the next step is to complete the reservation process. This includes reviewing and signing your adoption agreement and submitting your reservation deposit.
We’ll send you the adoption agreement for your review and signature. Once the agreement has been signed, we’ll provide the information needed to submit your $750 non-refundable reservation deposit through Zelle. (The deposit is applied toward the total adoption fee.)
Your kitten is officially reserved once we have received both the signed adoption agreement and the deposit.
Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll continue to receive updates as your kitten grows and gets ready to join your family. We’re always available to answer questions along the way and will keep you informed about important milestones as your kitten’s go-home date approaches.
05 — Preparing for Homecoming
Getting Ready for Your Kitten
The weeks leading up to your kitten’s arrival are an exciting time. While your kitten continues to grow and develop, we’ll continue providing updates so you can follow along.
During this time, your kitten will continue receiving daily handling and socialization in our home and will be introduced to the sights, sounds, and routines of everyday family life.
We’ll also help you prepare for your kitten’s arrival by answering questions and sharing information about feeding, grooming, litter, and settling into a new home.
As the go-home date approaches, we’ll confirm the final details with you so everything is ready for a smooth transition home.
06 — Welcome Home
The Day Your Ragdoll Joins Your Family
As your kitten’s go-home date approaches, we’ll confirm the final pickup details with you and make sure everything is ready for the big day.
Your remaining balance is due 3–7 days prior to pickup day, using the same payment method. The remaining balance must be paid in full and cleared before your kitten is transferred to your care. Payment must clear no later than three days before pick-up.
At pickup, we’ll go over your kitten’s records, health information, and care instructions, answer any last-minute questions, and make sure you’re comfortable heading home together.

While go-home day marks the end of the adoption process, it’s not the end of our relationship. We’re always here to support you as your Ragdoll settles in, grows, and becomes part of your family.
Pickup & Travel
Bringing Your Ragdoll Home
We welcome families from near and far. Depending on where you’re coming from and what works best for your family, we offer several options for getting your kitten home.
1. Pick Up at Our Location
You’re welcome to travel to us and pick up your kitten in person. We’ll arrange a convenient pickup time and have everything ready for your arrival. For security reasons, our pickup address will be shared only after full payment has been received.
2. Meet Us at a Regional Location
If you’re within a reasonable driving distance but would prefer not to travel all the way to us, we may be able to meet you at a location a short distance outside the Rochester area for an additional fee. We’ll discuss available locations when making your pickup arrangements.
3. Rochester Airport Pickup
If you’re traveling by air to pick up your kitten, you can fly into the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester Airport (ROC). We will meet you curbside at the airport with your kitten so you can begin your trip home together.
4. Professional Pet Transportation
If traveling to New York isn’t convenient, you may choose to hire a professional flight nanny or pet transportation service to bring your kitten to you. The family is responsible for selecting, arranging, and paying for the service. We’re happy to provide recommendations based on our experience and coordinate the handoff with your chosen provider.
NOTE: Please remember to bring a secure carrier for your new kitten's journey home!
If you'd like us to provide a new carrier at pickup (for a small fee), please inquire in advance.
Whichever option you choose, we’ll work with you ahead of time to make sure everything is clear and organized, with your kitten’s comfort and well-being in mind. Our goal is to make the transition as calm and comfortable as possible for your new Ragdoll — and as easy and enjoyable as possible for you.
Important Policies
A Few Things to Know Before Reserving
Because our kittens are raised in our private home, we have a few policies in place to protect their health, safety, and well-being and to keep the adoption process consistent for every family.
Private Home & Kitten Visits
Indovi Pearl Ragdolls is a private, home-based cattery, so we do not offer in-person visits to meet kittens before or after a reservation has been made.
We understand that choosing a kitten is an important decision, and we’re happy to provide photos, videos, personality updates, and answer any questions you may have throughout the process. This allows you to get to know your kitten while also helping us keep our home environment calm, safe & healthy for the well-being of our Ragdolls & family.
Once your kitten is reserved, we’ll look forward to meeting you in person at pickup and introducing you to your new Ragdoll.
Reservations
Once you’ve chosen your kitten, we’ll provide the information needed to submit your $750 reservation deposit through Zelle.
The deposit must be received within 48 hours of selecting your kitten. Your kitten is officially reserved once both the deposit and signed adoption agreement have been received. Until then, the kitten remains available to other prospective families.
The reservation deposit is non-refundable and is applied toward the total purchase price.
Pricing
Our kitten pricing is firm and not negotiable - requests asking for price reductions will be denied.
Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full and cleared before your kitten is transferred to your care. Please note: if the final payment is not received on time, the kitten’s reservation will be void, and the kitten will be offered to the next interested party.
These policies allow us to maintain a calm, consistent environment for our cats and kittens while providing every family with a clear and straightforward adoption experience.
